Communication: Processible organic materials exhibiting high charge ca
rrier mobilities are a step closer with the development of liquid crys
talline photoconducting materials. The mobilities have been measured i
n Various phase regions over the temperature range from - 100 to 165 d
egrees C and the influence of different annealing conditions assessed,
indicating that these materials could soon compete with amorphous sem
iconductors in electronics applications.
