Abstract
Protein bodies from pea cotyledons contain proteins tightly bound to t he membrane with subunit M(r)s of 26000/27000 and 82000. The double ba nd of M(r) 26000/27000 though being clearly distinct from the lectin a nd its precursor by solubility, cross-reacts with an antibody directed against the pea lectin beta-subunit.
