A special experimental equipment was designed and constructed at the r
esearch reactor IVV-2M for a complex investigation of radiation effect
s on the interaction of hydrogen isotopes (or hydrogen-bearing media a
nd helium) with various ITER candidate materials. The equipment allows
the study of permeability, diffusion and solubility as well as adsorp
tion and desorption of gases in metals at temperatures of 370-1300 K a
nd above and media pressures up to 20 MPa before, during and after rea
ctor irradiation of the fast neutron flux density 2 x 10(18) n/m(2) s
(E > 0.1 MeV). The equipment provides the possibility of creating a pl
asma gas discharge with a density of 10(22) ion/m(2) s and E < 1 keV s
imultaneous with reactor irradiation.
