Abstract
The dehydrocoupling of PhMeSiH(2) to form oligomers and of PhSiH(3) to form polysilanes has been performed with the precatalyst combination of [Me(2)El(C5H4)(2)MCl(2) (El = Si, C; M = Ti, Zr, Hf) and nBuLi. The results are compared to those produced from (eta(5)-C5H5)(2)MCl(2)/nB uLi.
