Abstract
F-19-NMR analysis based on the chlorine isotopic effect allows the det ermination of the number of chlorine atoms geminal to a fluorine atom in polyhalogenated compounds. Extension of this method to the analysis of products substituted by bromine and fluorine atoms is also possibl e, but the isotopic effect is weaker.
