Abstract
Single crystals of NaSr3RuO6 have been prepared in closed silver tubes and investigated by X-ray techniques. This compound crystallizes with trigonal (rhombohedral) symmetry, space group D-3d(6)-d-R (3) over ba r c, n = 9.6069(8), c = 11.513(2) Angstrom, Z = 6, and is isotypic to compounds of the Sr4PtO6 type. The crystal structure is discussed with respect to related compounds with partial replacement of alkaline ear th elements by sodium and copper.
