Bis(fluorodiisopropylsilyl) amine [(Me(2)HC)(2)SiF]2NH (1) reacts with
the disodium salt of catechole or the disodium salt of resorcinol in
a molar ratio 1:1 to give the seven-membered heteraphane [HN(Me(2)HC)(
2)SiO]2C6H4 (2) resp. the 16-membered heteraphane [HN(Me(2)HC)(2)SiOC6
H4OSi(CHMe(2))(2)](2) (3). The chain-like compound [(Me(2)HC)(2)SiFNHS
i(CHMe(2))(2)O]2C6H4 (4) is obtained by the reaction of 1 with disodiu
m resorcinolate.
