A theory of spectra and excitation dynamics in antenna based on the no
tion of exciton interactions in the cyclic structures of light-harvest
ing pigments is reported. The theory provides an explanation for the p
icosecond absorbance difference spectra, the induced absorption anisot
ropy decay, the anomalously high bleaching value, as well as for the f
luorescence spectra, kinetics and depolarization.
