K. Li et al., DETERMINATION OF ORGANOLEAD AND ORGANOTIN COMPOUNDS IN WATER SAMPLES BY MICELLAR ELECTROKINETIC CHROMATOGRAPHY, Journal of liquid chromatography, 18(7), 1995, pp. 1325-1347
Micellar electrokinetic chromatography separation of organolead and or
ganotin compounds was investigated. The effects of surfactant concentr
ation and electrolyte buffer pH on the peak efficiencies and resolutio
n were studied. Enrichment of the organolead and organotin species in
water samples by liquid-liquid extraction and solid phase extraction u
sing C-18 membrane disk was performed. 1000-40,000 fold preconcentrati
on for lead and tin species was obtained using solid phase extraction.
The detection limits for organolead and organotin compounds were in t
he range of 1.1-5.2 parts per billion. The levels of these compounds i
n the collected water samples were determined.
