From the vines of Wisteria brachybotrys (Leguminosae), five new oleane
ne glycosides, called wistariasaponins YC1,2, B3 and A2,3, together wi
th four known ones were isolated. Their structures have been elucidate
d to be -D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucuronopyranosyl yunganogeni
n C 21-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), galactopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-g
lucuronopyranosyl yunganogenin C 21-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), -D-x
ylopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucuronopyranosyl wistariasapogenol B 30-
-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3), -D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucuro
nopyranosyl wistartiasapogenol A 30-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4) and g
alactopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucuronopyranosyl wistariasapogenol A
30-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (5), respectively.
