Abstract
UNiSn in the MgAgAs-type crystal structure is characterised by a simul taneous magnetic, metallic and crystallographic phase transition occur ring at 43 K. Results of measurement of both the transverse and longit udinal sound velocities in polycrystalline UNiSn through this transiti on are presented and compared with theoretical predictions.
