Abstract
The characteristics of FLR effects and their dependence on RF power ar e studied during ICRF minority heating in tokamak plasmas. With the io n energy losses being taken into consideration, a critical heating pow er above which FLR effects may play an important role is derived. The quasilinear Fokker-Planck equation is calculated numerically it is sho wn that the analytically derived critical power is in good agreement w ith the numerical calculation.
