Jr. Patel et Zg. Patel, EFFECT OF FOLIAR FERTILIZATION OF NITROGEN AND PHOSPHORUS ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF SUMMER GREENGRAM (PHASEOLUS-RADIATUS), Indian Journal of Agronomy, 39(4), 1994, pp. 578-580
A field experiment carried out during summer season of 1990 and 1991 s
howed that basal application of 20 kg N + 40 kg P2O5/ha to greengram (
Phaseolus radiatus L.) gave the highest seed yield and found statistic
ally equal to foliar spray of urea + diammonium phosphate twice. Folia
r application of urea (1.5%) + diammonium phosphate (0.5%) twice at 30
and 40 days after sewing significantly increased the number of pods/p
lant, seeds/pod and length of pod and ultimately resulted in higher se
ed yield than the control and water spray.
