Abstract
A field experiment conducted during the winter season (rabi) of 1987-8 8 and 1988-89 indicated that seed and stover yields of Indian mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czernj. & Cosson] as well as leaf-area index, ne t assimilation rate and crop-growth rate increased with increasing lev els of irrigation and nitrogen. Application of jalashakti was found be neficial, but results were better when applied through seed + soil or soil alone.
