Abstract
A case of arthritis due to a penicillinase-producing Neisseria gonorrh oeae in a 29-year-old lady is reported. The organism was isolated from the synovial fluid of the affected joint. Isolation of penicillinase- producing N. gonorrhoeae from such fluid has only rarely been reported . However, this is probably the first reported case from the Middle Ea st and surrounding areas.
