Abstract
We report the history of a 43-year-old man with a histopathologically confirmed invasive amebic abscess in his right hip. CT scan of the liv er was normal. The amebic indirect hemagglutination (IHA) test was pos itive,vith a titer of 1/1,024. The patient developed acute renal failu re and died within 48 h of admission with multiple organ failure due t o sepsis.
