Abstract
The nucleolar organizer regions of sloth chromosomes were studied. In Bradypus vanegatus there was an intercalar localization of NORs on pai r 25, while in Scaeopus torquatus, they were telomeric, suggesting a f usion mechanism of chromosome evolution.
