The possibility of stimulated emission with recoil in a quasi-equilibr
ium two-temperature gas in the IR and visible ranges is predicted for
the first time, and conditions for such emission are studied. We demon
strate for the first time the possibility of lasing in the range of su
perhard gamma radiation with the gamma-ray energies of 0.7 - 10 MeV us
ing inversionless amplification with recoil and self-suppression of re
sonant absorption without cooling the active gas.
