The paper considers asymmetrical power compensators and subharmonic co
mponent distortion power compensators using natural switching rectifie
r circuits. A three-phase bridge circuit and a ''three single-phase br
idges'' circuit are compared and fields of their application are outli
ned. Ways of controlling a compensator which ensure the suppression of
subharmonic components in a specified frequency range are presented.
Values of the inductance of compensator storage elements are estimated
