Abstract
Some novel hexa-coordinated mixed-ligand cyanonitrosyl complexes of co balt(I) having the general formula K-2[Co(NO)(CN)(4)-(L)] (where L=nit rogen donor organic compound have been prepared by the interaction of K-2[Co(NO)(CN)(4)(H2O)]. H2O with L in aqueous-ethanolic medium. The p roducts have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductan ces, magnetic measurements, infrared spectral studies, H-1 NMR, UV-vis and thermogravimetric analysis. A tetragonally distorted octahedral s tructure has been proposed.
