Abstract
In ,N-dimethyldithiocarbamylacetonethiosemicarbazone, C7H14N4S3 (tricl inic, P $($) over bar$$ 1, a = 6.226(1) Angstrom, b = 8.111(1) Angstro m, c = 12.387(1) Angstrom, alpha = 85.19(2)degrees, beta = 84.81(1)deg rees, gamma = 74.21(2)degrees), the sulfur atom of the = N-NH-C(=S)-NH 2 unit is hydrogen bonded to the amino nitrogen atom of an adjacent mo lecule to form a centrosymmetric dimer. Tris (hydroxymethyl)methylammo nium N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamylacetate, C9H20N2O5S2 (monoclinic, P2(1) /c, a = 10.773(2) Angstrom, b = 10.2615(8) Angstrom, c = 13.116(3) Ang strom, beta = 109.253(9)degrees) adopts a 3-d network structure in whi ch the cation is linked to the sulfur and carboxyl atoms of adjacent a nions by hydrogen bonds.
