Abstract
This study evaluated the integrity of a cellulose-complex granular pes ticide carrier in gizzards of house sparrows (Passer domesticus). With in 1 h after dosing, nearly all cellulose-complex granules had disappe ared from the birds' gizzards. Cellulose granules remained intact for 14 d, however, in a hydrochloric acid solution without the mechanical grinding of the gizzard.
