Onychomycosis is a common condition, particularly among men and the el
derly. The management of onychomycosis can be divided into topical and
oral antifungal agents and surgical therapy. During the past few year
s, three new oral antimycotics-itraconazole, terbinafine, and fluconaz
ole-have had increasing use for the treatment of onychomycosis. These
