Abstract
Hemobilia is the term which describes the presence of blood in the bil iary tract. We describe a case of symptomatic hemobilia after percutan eous liver biopsy which resolved spontaneously. We review the physiopa thology of this complication and we highlight the role of abdominal ul trasonography not only in the diagnosis but also in the follow-up of h emobilia. In our case, abdominal ultrasonography was able to identify the probable point of bleeding.
