H. Kataoka et al., REFLECTION OF EPICARDIAL U-WAVE CHANGES IN SURFACE INFERIOR ELECTROCARDIOGRAMS DURING INFEROPOSTERIOR OR ANTERIOR WALL MYOCARDIAL-ISCHEMIA, The American journal of cardiology, 79(2), 1997, pp. 194
U-wave changes on surface inferior electrocardiograms (ECGs) of patien
ts with coronary artery disease are poorly characterized in comparison
with surface precordial ECGs. The tip of the guidewire used for coron
ary angioplasty lies close to the lesion and transmits electrical sign
als, thus enabling epicardial U-waves to be clearly recorded.(1) The a
im of the present study was to investigate U-wave changes in surface i
nferior ECGs in relation to epicardial U-wave changes determined by in
tracoronary ECG during angioplasty-induced inferoposterior or anterior
wall myocardial ischemia.
