Cuprous ion conductive glasses in the system (20-x) CuI-2 CuBr-40 Cu2O
-40 P2O5 as well as (40-y) CuI-y CuBr-30 Cu2O-30 P2O5 were prepared. T
he glass formation was observed in the all range of substitution of Cu
I by CuBr. All the prepared glasses show similar infrared spectra typi
cal for metaphosphate glasses containing mainly chains of the (PO3-) a
nions. The conductivity of glasses at room temperature, sigma(25), inc
reases with an increase of total concent of cuprous halides. The signi
ficant positive deviation of the conductivity from the additivity, by
substitution of Br- for I- anions (mixed anion effect), has not been o
bserved in the glasses under study.
