Abstract
A novel small microstrip patch antenna is presented. The probe-fed cir cular microstrip parch incorporates a single shorting post which signi ficantly reduces the overall size of the antenna. Experimental and the oretical impedance behaviour and radiation characteristics of the modi fied patch are given. Very good agreement between experiment and theor y was achieved.
