Abstract
We propose a general method for the computer analysis of the thermorev ersible photochromism. By combining numerical integration of the photo kinetic equations and least square adjustement of the quantum yield (P hi) and absorption coefficients (epsilon), it is possible to fit accur ately the experimental absorbance vs time recorded during continuous m onochromatic irradiation. The method is applied to a spiro [benzothiaz oline - benzopyranne] compound.
