We report the case of an HIV-seropositive patient with non-Hodgkin lym
phoma of the small intestine who presented with an ileocolic intussusc
eption. This lesion fulfilled the diagnostic criteria for primary gast
rointestinal lymphoma. Such a neoplasm in an immunocompromised patient
is usually more aggressive and less responsive to treatment than in a
n HIV-seronegative patient.
