Abstract
Gene therapy involves the insertion of a gene into an organism to trea t a disease. Since its early development in the 1970s, gene therapy ha s expanded rapidly both in terms of the methods available and the numb er of candidate diseases for treatment. This report reviews gene thera py for cancer, including methodology, pre-clinical studies and experim ental clinical trials.
