Abstract
The synthesis of a series of new poly(dialkylsilylene-co-alkylenes) ([ SiR(2)-CR(2)-](x) with R = C2H5, C3H7, C4H9, C5H11, C6H13) was afforde d through the reaction of the perchlorinated poly(carbosilane) [SiCl2- CCl2-](x) with alkylIithium agents. The oligomeric products were chara cterized by elemental analysis, IR, H-1, C-13 and Si-29 NMR spectrosco py. Furthermore the number and weight averages M(n) and M(w) were dete rmined by gel permeation chromatography.
