K. Katsumoto et A. Kawakami, TRENDS IN SECONDARY BATTERIES FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, IEICE transactions on electronics, E78C(4), 1995, pp. 345-352
With the development in portable electronic equipment, the demand for
secondary batteries of high energy density is increasing. Recently, ni
ckel metal hydride secondary batteries (Ni/MH) are expanding the marke
t, and lithium ion secondary batteries have been newly developed and c
ommercialized. This paper describes in detail Ni/MH and lithium ion se
condary batteries, and reports on their development state and characte
ristics.
