Abstract
With the development in portable electronic equipment, the demand for secondary batteries of high energy density is increasing. Recently, ni ckel metal hydride secondary batteries (Ni/MH) are expanding the marke t, and lithium ion secondary batteries have been newly developed and c ommercialized. This paper describes in detail Ni/MH and lithium ion se condary batteries, and reports on their development state and characte ristics.
