Abstract
Phenomenological mean-field models of nuclear interactions are general ized to the case where the mean fields depend not only on the density but also on the temperature. As an application of a general formalism we extend the Walecka model to account for hard-core nuclear repulsion . The effects of this modification on the phase boundary between the h adron matter and the quark-gluon plasma are considered.
