The classification of the International Headache Society demonstrates
the multitude of chronical headache syndromes. Basis of all medical tr
eatment is an exact anamnesis including calendar and the clinical exam
ination. The most important additional diagnostic methods are the EEG,
brain imaging techniques like CCT and MRT and some labor-datas. Only
in singular cases specific metabolical and serological tests like orga
noacids in urine, serology, allergy, SPECT, sleeping polygraphy and ps
ychological tests are necessary for evaluation and causal therapy.
