J. Kraic et al., EVALUATION OF PROTEIN AND DNA POLYMORPHISM IN LENTIL (LENS-CULINARIS L) FOR GENOTYPES AND CULTIVARS DISTINGUISHING, Rostlinna vyroba, 41(4), 1995, pp. 181-184
Several analytical methods were used for lentil cultivars and lines di
stinguishing. Seed protein patterns obtained after SDS-PAGE were very
similar and not usable for these purposes. The same results were obtai
ned by RFLP analyses when rDNA unit of barley was used as a probe. Of
118 genotypes tested by esterase profiles, 14 different EST banding pa
tterns were obtained; 1I bands of esterase activity with different mob
ility were detected in the gels. Each of genotypes had two to seven ba
nds. RAPD polymorphism between tested cultivars was detected. The comb
ination of several biochemical and molecular-biological methods and cl
assical agronomicai-morphological descriptors could be helpful for len
til genotypes identification.
