Sa. Kaluzhina et al., EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL SIMULATION OF THERMOGALVANIC CORROSION IN HEAT-EXCHANGERS, Protection of metals, 31(2), 1995, pp. 142-146
Thermogalvanic corrosion in heat exchangers has been simulated experim
entally (on a nonisothermal plate) and theoretically using a computer
to solve electrochemical kinetic problems. The simulation techniques h
ave been tested for thermogalvanic corrosion of iron in acid sulfate e
lectrolyte with a variable temperature distribution along the metal su
rface. The tests showed a good agreement of theoretical and experiment
al data.
