Abstract
Thermogalvanic corrosion in heat exchangers has been simulated experim entally (on a nonisothermal plate) and theoretically using a computer to solve electrochemical kinetic problems. The simulation techniques h ave been tested for thermogalvanic corrosion of iron in acid sulfate e lectrolyte with a variable temperature distribution along the metal su rface. The tests showed a good agreement of theoretical and experiment al data.
