Tf. Borisova et Gv. Khaldeev, ELECTROCHEMICAL HYDROGEN PERMEABILITY OF PALLADIUM IN ELECTROLYTIC SOLUTIONS, Protection of metals, 31(2), 1995, pp. 197-198
The effect of electrolyte composition and cathodic current density (i(
cat)) on the hydrogen permeability of electrochemically hydrogenated p
alladium was studied. Hydride beta-phase PdH0.706 was shown to form in
palladium as a result of this hydrogenation, the phase content being
dependent on the pH of the electrolyte. At T = 292 K, hydrogen permeab
ility of palladium membranes increases with increasing i(cat) and pH.
