CORRELATION BETWEEN THE ALPHA-RHYTHM PARA METERS AND SHORT-TERM-MEMORY SPAN

On the basis of dynamic memory theory, alpha rhythm parameters of the background electroencephalogram reflect the neurophysiological restric tions of the memory span and rate of action. The quantitative relation between the short-term memory span and the number of waves in the alp ha rhythm spindle were found. Subjects, possessing the longer spindle with the large number of waves have the advantage over the other one i n the productivity of the short-term memory.
