APPROBATION OF EDWARDS,A. PERSONAL PREFER ENCE SCHEDULE ON THE RUSSIAN SAMPLE

The approbation results of A. Edwards ''Personal Preference Schedule'' , the American questionnaire, firstly translated into Russian is prese nted. The questionnaire is used for the evaluation of the personality motivational tendencies (by 15 scales) and includes the two by two com parisons of the separate statiments technique. Subjects group (260 per s.) included the teachers, students, bussnessmen, service-men and muse um workers. The arithmetic mean and the variance of the frequencies of statements preferences, characterizing 15 questionnaire scales were c arried out, this was made on the male and female samplings separatly. Cluster-analysis of preferences permits to evaluate the contribution o f each statement to the indicator of certain scale. The comparative an alysis of the professional group results discovered the differences in the profile of motivational tendencies. In addition the correlations of 15 Edwards scales with the indicators of the risk readiness or rati onallity as a personality factors of the decision-making were demonstr ated at the 50 subjects.
