Abstract
Cyclic deformation causes changes in the microstructure and subsequent ly failure of structural parts. Mechanical thermometrical and electric al methods can be used to characterize the deformation behaviour of me tals as can be shown for normalized or heat treated steels as well as for sintered steels.
