Abstract
Reaction of alpha,beta-unsaturated eaters with nitronium tetrafluorobo rate in acetonitrile at -16 degrees C affords products of skeletal cat ionic rearrangements suggesting the intermediacy of highly reactive al pha-carbonyl cations.
