M. Veronico et al., ROXATIDINE ESTIMATION IN HUMAN FLUIDS BY UV DERIVATIVE SPECTROPHOTOMETRY, International journal of pharmaceutics, 119(1), 1995, pp. 109-114
Two simple and accurate methods for roxatidine assay in human serum an
d urine by derivative UV spectrophotometry are proposed. In serum the
analyte is quantified after a solid-phase extraction procedure, wherea
s in urine it is determined after a selective extraction with 2-methyl
butanol. In both methods the drug concentration is directly correlated
with specific signals in the second and third derivative spectra of t
he sample extracts. Statistical analysis of the data from synthetic so
lutions confirms the good accuracy and precision of the methods.
