Abstract
We report the synthesis and the properties of some dinuclear ruthenium and/or osmium complexes bridged by rigid ligands. We focus on the nat ure of the bridging ligand and on its effect on the electrochemical, s tructural, and photophysical behavior of the complexes. Intercomponent energy and electron transfer processes are discussed.
