Abstract
A novel tricyclic alkaloid, fasicularin (1), was isolated from the Mic ronesian ascidian Nephteis fasicularis. The structure of I was elucida ted primarily by interpretation of spectral data. Fasicularin was foun d to be active in a DNA damaging assay. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Sc ience Ltd
