Ng. Vanifatova et al., ION-SELECTIVE FIELD-EFFECT TRANSISTORS WITH PLASTICIZED MEMBRANES - NITRATE ION SENSOR, Journal of analytical chemistry, 52(1), 1997, pp. 52-55
A nitrate sensor was manufactured on the basis of a field-effect trans
istor with a Ta2O5 gate, ion-sensing polyvinyl chloride membrane, and
a protective intermediate polymer coating. The sensor is unaffected by
pH in the range 1-9; its service time is no less than 4 months. The o
ther analytical characteristics of the sensor are similar to those of
the corresponding nitrate-selective electrode. The study was performed
on an automated laboratory setup. The potentialities of the setup are
discussed.
