Abstract
We show that a phase-sensitive linear amplifier can be constructed bas ed on pairs of identical two-level atoms, initially in their upper sta te. Correlations between the atoms are obtained in a high-and cavity b y their interaction with degenerate squeezed radiation. Such correlate d pairs of atoms are injected into a linear amplifier, where phase-sen sitive amplification is obtained with significant quantum noise reduct ion.
