Abstract
CoAPO and CoSAPO with -34 and -44 framework structures have been synth esized. The presence of cobalt in the framework has been established b y a number of experimental techniques. Distribution of cobalt in the c rystal was heterogeneous for the CoAPSOs. Using electron microprobe an alysis, it was observed that cobalt is homogeneously distributed in th e CoAPOs while in the CoSAPOs it has higher concentration near the cen ter of the crystal that progressively decreases toward the edges.
