Abstract
The pesticidal activities of trehazolin (TRZ), a specific and potent t rehalase inhibitor, are described, TRZ inhibited trehalase of Rhizocto nia solani, a plant pathogenic fungus, with an IC50 value of 66 nM. Sp raying rice seedlings with TRZ at a concentration of 100 mu g/ml suppr essed infection by Rhizoctonia solani. TRZ showed insecticidal activit y toward silkworms by injecting 50 to 100 mu g.
