A. Kasardova et al., ACTIVATION-ENERGY SPECTRA FOR STRESS-INDUCED ORDERING IN AMORPHOUS MATERIALS CALCULATED USING FOURIER TECHNIQUES, Philosophical magazine letters, 71(5), 1995, pp. 257-261
A method for calculating the activation energy spectrum from isotherma
l data using Fourier techniques is used for studying the deformation p
rocesses in amorphous metals. The influence of experimental error on t
he calculated spectrum is discussed. The activation energy spectrum de
rived from the anelastic deformation of Fe40Ni40B20 amorphous metallic
ribbon is presented. The spectrum obtained involves three well-separa
ted peaks, each of which represents a different material transport mec
hanism.
