Abstract
We observed both well resolved Shubnikov-de Haas-oscillations and the quantum Hall effect on a modulation doped CdTe/Cd1-xMgxTe heterostruct ure. The sample was grown by molecular beam epitaxy using CdI2 for n-t ype doping. The effective mass extracted from the Shubnikov-de Haas-os cillations agrees with the commonly used value for CdTe. The temperatu re dependence of the Hall mobility shows the behaviour expected for mo dulation doped structures.
